Quick Answer - YES, a Thrive membership IS worth it!
But you came here for a Thrive Themes review so that's what you'll get...
Having been a member for 4 years now I can confidently say it is the best investment I have made in my online business.
Not only have I been able to use their products for my own WordPress websites but I have also been able to help countless clients get the most out of their membership as well.
From building lead generation campaigns using Thrive Architect (formerly Thrive Content Builder) and Thrive Leads to putting on brand launching virtual summits integrating Thrive Ultimatum (scarcity countdown timer) and building out all the event landing pages with Thrive Architect your possibilities are truly limitless.

With the good though comes some bad…
I am not going to try and paint a euphoric picture and pretend there have not been bumps along the way.
Thrive Themes has experienced growing pains as most companies do - theirs being mostly on the support side of things.
They have added a lot of support staff in the past year to help accommodate the influx of customers and subsequent support requests. There’s still work to do on that front but you can tell they are trying the best they can.
Even though their products are great for us non-tech types, there is still a learning curve to them and a lot of the support requests I see pertain to users not fully understanding how a specific plugin should work or some potential conflicts with other plugins on their site.
This is no fault of the site owner and having a great support system to ask questions and get help making the most of a Thrive Theme's plugin is what their support is there to help with.
The other caveat I will put out there is that sometimes I feel they release new products or new versions of their existing plugins before they are ready. In a way, it seems they lean on their existing customer base as beta testers which I am not a fan of.
It’s for this reason I typically recommend folks don’t update their plugins or themes immediately after a big update - this could be said for most WordPress themes and plugins actually, not just Thrive Theme.
This hesitancy comes from the major upgrade of their Thrive Content Builder, page builder/landing page plugin, into Thrive Architect.
Although new customers did not have issues implementing this WordPress page builder into their website, many existing customers had ongoing problems when upgrading from Thrive Content Builder to Thrive Architect.
The company’s communication at this time was not as up front as I would have liked so it did leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Ok, enough ‘debbie downer’ isms…
I often wonder if ThriveThemes will change their name because they are much more than a WordPress theme house.
Sure, they have a lot of themes users can choose from to start building their website - actually soon that will be changing since they have a brand new ‘theme builder’ in the works - but what drew me to join in the first place was one of their plugins - Thrive Leads.
I won’t spend time on their themes since they have stopped selling them individually to the public and will make sure to update this when I have more information on the upcoming theme builder.
Even without a specific theme, this membership is worth its weight in gold!
Here is a quick list of the WordPress plugins that are included in the Thrive Themes membership...
That is 10 feature rich WordPress plugins that have the ability to drive almost every aspect of the marketing for your website!
The crazy part of this whole thing is the price…
If you were to purchase all of those individually to use on just 1 website you would pay $549 - one time fees with the option to pay for ongoing support after 1 year but free plugin updates.
The current cost of a Thrive membership is $228 per year (or $360 per year if you choose to pay quarterly) and you get to use all of these products on up to 25 of your own websites (they do have an agency option that extends the licenses to 50 of your own and/or client sites and costs $588 per year).
Prices are for use on 1 site and are one-time fees with the option to purchase ongoing support after 1 year
Total - $549
Price is an annual fee for use on up to 25 of your own sites and includes support as long as your membership is active
Ok, so the big thing to point out is that the membership IS an annual ongoing fee. Many of you will not want to take on that continued expense and that’s fine.
The fact I want to drive home is twofold…
You WILL build more than one website - I guarantee it!
If you are anything like me you have ideas spinning around in your head constantly and will eventually want to expand on them. So those individual plugin prices I shared are thrown out the window since you will need to purchase extra licenses for the different sites you launch.
Secondly, from years of experience I know you will need or want to utilize almost all of these products on a consistent basis as you build and grow your online presence.
Currently, I consistently use 7 of the 10 plugins Thrive Themes offers so it is safe to say that you will not have buyer’s remorse after you join.
Ok, now you know what you get with a Thrive Themes membership and what it will cost you so it’s time to take a look at what different things you can build using their products.
Several years ago I put on my own virtual summit - Veterans Entrepreneurship Summit - and although the site is no longer live you can watch the short video below to see some of the pages and actions I used to build this event.
You can quickly design, launch and split test sales pages and/or lead generation pages. Thrive Architect and the many included page templates make it easy to customize to match your site and brand.
Along with the Thrive Optimize add-on that is part of your membership you can then split test certain elements of those landing pages to determine which will convert better for you.
The Thrive Leads plugin makes it simple to construct specific offers for your audience depending on the type of content you are presenting them to grow your email list.
For instance, on this site I could have one opt-in geared towards WordPress beginners that will only show up on articles that relate to setting up your first WordPress website. Then a totally different opt-in specifically related to implementing ThriveThemes products on your website within the Thrive Theme topics I discuss.
This enables you to speak directly to your site visitor where they are in their journey and increase the likelihood they will actually give you their email address instead of promoting yet another ‘newsletter’. Plus you also have the capability of A/B testing these different offers to test and choose the highest converting option.
If you have thought about launching your own information product or online course then utilizing Thrive Apprentice along with their recent integration with SendOwl makes it effortless to do so. Although I do recommend you read my take (click the link above) on that announcement first before diving in, it is more than a viable solution for most.
Quizzes have become a very popular way to engage your audience and also offer the potential to turn those quiz takers into leads. This is where Thrive Quiz Builder comes into play so you no longer have to seek out a third party product that may or may not integrate within your WordPress website.
You can customize your quizzes to fit your brand and apply conditional logic to the responses to get very specific with the results you derive from this.
Another amazing aspect is that if you pair this with your ActiveCampaign email marketing account you have the ability to add tags to your contacts depending on their answers. This enables you to further segment your audience and provide them with solutions for precisely what they are asking for.
That’s pretty powerful stuff!

Hopefully this Thrive Themes review was helpful and by now you see the immense possibilities you have when you add their membership to your online business stack.
Although there have been some bumps in the road over the 4 years I have been using their products I still stand behind the fact there is not a better solution for your money.
Trust me, I have tried to find other products that can deliver similar functions for a similar price and have come up empty handed. The problem is that you have to piece together themes and plugins from a handful of different companies and hope they all work together properly.
That is a key element a lot of people miss out on because you will inevitably run into theme and plugin conflicts. When all of these solutions are developed by the same company you know they will play nicely with each other and that is one less thing you have to worry about.
Us non-tech types don’t have the desire or time to learn how to code or develop these solutions for ourselves so utilizing the right tools for the job is paramount.
If you still are not convinced a Thrive membership is right for you then please leave a comment with any questions you may have. I will do my best to answer them all!
Hi, I'm Andrew, your Flight Director at Launch Your Damn Website and I appreciate you stopping by! Just like you, I have no formal IT or technical background but 6 years ago I discovered WordPress and have not looked back. Before that I was an endurance sports coach for over a decade and planned adaptive cycling events/programs around the world. So if I can tackle this then I have plenty of confidence you can too. I look forward to having you on board for what will no doubt be an amazing journey!
